I mean really. Flying missions all the way from here in Missouri, then back on each mission? I realize security is tight on these things still, but isn't this a bit ridiculous, the fuel costs must be staggering.

Fuel costs? Nah....they've just got to pack some boxes of Ding-Dongs and Big Macs...they land in Iraq...exchange food for oil...take off and fly back.

It's kind of like what we do here...jump in our cars...cross the US border, fuel up att the closest gas station and recross the border...the gas used to drive there and back are more than made up in the money saved to fill up.

I have to agree. I don't understand it! I guess we don't trust the British or the Germans either. I guess their bases aren't secure enough for us. Hey but wait, aren't they OUR bases ?
