With me, fishing was with my grandfather. Camping and hiking were with Dad.

I'm looking forward to passing the lessons both those guys taught me on to my son.

that's so great, HomeLAN .. to me, that's the best part of being a parent.

My grandmother and mom used to take us (my sibs and cousins) to Puna to pick koko'olau tea ... we'd come home and lay out the leaves to dry and in a few days, it was ready to be boiled. That's one of the best times I share with my kids -- going to the same spots to pick tea ... :)
