So, I have a 21 year-old son who has a great job and can pretty much get himself whatever he wants, within reason.

I have a 17 year-old son who is a super snob with exquisite taste and doesn't expect much from me :D

and I have a nearly 16 year-old who loves soccer, hula and technology.



What do I get them for Christmas???
 
Don't buy them a damned thing for Xmas- cook up a great meal and shower the ones who show up with love and affection.
After all, you sacrificed a lot to raise them-they are supposed to be doing their duty to you now.
If they bring wives/ girlfriends- make them bitches feel at home and welcome, even if you don't like 'em! That is all you have got to do to be SuperMom!
That's all I would want my Ma to do!

21 year old - what do 21 year old men never think of buying for themselves? moisturizer? maybe you could make up some kinda package with candles, a loofah, some other more um "girly" stuff and tell him he needs to have that shit around the house in case he gets lucky?

17 year old - what is this guy or gal a snob about? just avoid that... or consult an expert in the snobbified topic

16 year old - nice pair of cleats?

That's all I would want my Ma to do!

And play dominoes/ Scrabble/ poker, whatever- my Ma likes jigsaw puzzles- get them involved in something that takes a brain cell or two.

Too many times people "get together" for the holidays and make a bit of small talk, then don't interact at all for "the duration". It is amazing how a simple endeavour like a card game or puzzle can get people communicating, and having fun.
Ain't that what it's all about anyway? Doesn't have to be Rocket Science.

these are great suggestions .. problem is, my son is macho but he's also a "pretty boy" .. which means he's metro and does most of these things on his own LOL

Hmm.. pretty much about everything LOL. He's a good kid, just snobby. I should just get him a year's supply of hair care since he changes it every month or so LOL

Wii's are cheaper than the XBox360 and PS3. The basic nunchucks that come with the system are good enough to start with. Can always add later.

I'm just afraid it'll end up like the PS2 .. it's basically just a DVD player .. neither one of them plays games on it anymore .. not sure if it's because the novelty wore off or because it's a PS2 ... I'll check out the prices though .. I just assumed it was way expensive.
 
I still say don't buy 'em nothing- they should be bringing YOU gifts. Just feed 'em well and make their galfriends comfortable. Thye's grown now.

they bring me gifts .. and only one is grown, the other two are still in school and it would surprise me verily if either one of those two had a galfriend LOL ... as far as feeding them, that's my sister's job on Christmas LOL
