We'll be needing the new hosts address, the name of the person or persons you talked to, and Sammy, I hope the hell you bitch some free gigs out of this fuckup.
 
alas, sammy will never see that. he was chosen to move to the new server.

i bet THEY don't have a jell-o pool though :D
 
I was posting on the new server for a while there.. now it seems as if I've been booted back to the old world... at least thats how it feels. Its all so topsy turvy.
 
And three hours behind, so we aren't really at the old server, we just went back in time. That explains everything. :tardbang:
 
ok i reset the time zone for the forums. and yes this is the real new server. I was actually on the old server when i told gonz to post his message. "im so confused.' :retardbang:

fury will prolly beat me for the confusion. but i think its all straightened out now.

wow, i am glad we didn't succeed in crashing the board then.

Being the bright people we are we were trying to crash the "old" board thinking then we'd get redirected to the new one :tardbang:

Yep, I have Xi at 3 hours behid the actual time and OTC 2 mins off, but then I ping the atomic clock once a day.
 
I knew I'd find you all eventually!!!

Because I had the old IP in my host file I kept ending up back there and couldn't figure out where everybody was,two days without any new posts was unnerving to say the least.

We are the new hosting provider for this site and we felt that we should address some concerns that some of you have had. Prior to the site being transferred to our servers, we were going to have fury shut down the board, then we were going to run the import. However, things didn't pan out this way with the tragic event of his aunt's passing, and we could not get ahold of him. So we had no choice but to move the forum as is, since we didn't have the vbulletin login details.

When some of you reported that you were seeing the some posts one moment then the post was gone another it was because the site never hadn't fully resolved. The process of dns resolution is tricky, but it really depends on how fast your individual ISPs clear out their dns cache. That is how some people figured they were on the new forum, and others thought that they were on the old one. The bottom line is that everything is now resolved and the site is loading faster than I can say OTcentral.
