Cyber-sex - you've heard of it, you may even have partaken in it. This may have happened while you were in a relationship, or perhaps..the other person(s) was.

Is cyber-sex with another other than your partner cheating?
 
I think it depends on how you AND your partner feel. I voted that it depends how your partner feels though. If both of you see it as simply live action, personalized porn then there's nothing wrong with it. If one or both of you see it as connecting to another specific person then it is cheating.

it's a state of mind...cheating is, and if a partner shares him/herself in any way mind body or soul with anyone intentionally excluding the other half...it's cheating. Period polka dot. There is a point in behaviour at which a person wouldn't do the whatever they're doing in front of their partner...that is the point at which cheating begins, cyber or "real life"
 
depends on how the partner feels. if theyre ok with it i guess it isnt. if they dont like it then i feel it is.
 
why would anyone in a relationship want to have cyber-sex in the first place?

Sounds to me like there's a problem and i would consider it as cheating because of some sort of insatisfaction.
 
Take it this way...is masturbating cheating? Thats all cyber-sex is - mutual masturbation. Its just a fantasy in either parties imagination.

if you do it with full knowledge and consent of your partner, sure. if not...it's going outside the relationship for something which is cheating...mind body or soul.
 
i'm all twisted up about this one... i have no idea what to think.
if my bf were to cyber someone else, i'd definitely feel INTENSELEY jealous... so i'm leaning more toward "yes, it's cheating"... but...
technically, it's.... really really not.

so i'm torn between the facts and my feelings.
 
Cheating is about feelings though, Ash. I know that my wife told me a few months ago that she feels like I'm cheating on her just using the computer, so cybering someone would be evern more so. I think it all just depends on the feelings, and as someone put it, if you need to do that, there is something lacking in your relationship.

yeah yeah, and after all the images are just a bunch of pixels making an optical illusion, blablabla....

point is, you are looking elsewhere for the satisfaction that you should receive and give from and to your partner.
