AMD Issues Statement on Dell Decision to Offer Customers a Choice

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. AMD31.35, +0.58, +1.9% ) released the following statement today regarding the announcement Dell Inc. made in its quarterly earnings statement that it intends to offer AMD Opteron(TM) Dual Core processor-based servers.

I hope yo've got shares in AMD. But they're gonna run into a seriousl bottleneck trying to supply yet another builder. They're strung out as is.

I'm out - I got out about 6 months ago at a nice profit.

It's spiking about 10% today, and I think you're right. If you're a holder, set your stop-loss orders fairly tight.

I wonder what boards Dell is gonna start using. They always used Intel boards, but I don't think Intel has designed a solid socket 939 board yet.
