Hrm well congrats and I'm sorry? Didn't you once tell me that you've made yourself as indespensible as possible in that place? Hope they see it that way too.
The NYC EMS (now rolled into FDNY) used to do that too, make you sign a paper saying if they send you to Paramedic school, you have to work for them for 5 years or you have to pay them back. But they did it before the class. Not sure if they still do it.
I'm looking into an intermediate CISCO class myself, prepaid by my company. No papers to sign.
