I never liked mushrooms on a cheesteak either as they put off a ton of juice and tend to turn the bun into paper mache.

You gotta grill the inside of the hoagie roll with some butter to get a crisp sear to hold up against the moisture.

Most of the philly cheesesteaks I can ever find out here are "wid"... onions AND mushrooms. I hate mushrooms. :ick:

Real ones don't have mushrooms. I'll bet they don't use the Whiz either.

hmm... 10th avenue@ Piedmont Park... college bohemia town... right near the botanical gardens the core hippie hangout of downtown serving 6 major colleges. Nice area... can't get a parking space within 4 miles though.
