But Luis, if you look at this from the 12 year old, muslim boy's point of view, you see that apparently terrorist's bombs caused the spanish to leave Iraq. The spanish may not have agreed with going in, but they damn well should have looked better at how they pulled out.Now they've set themselves up as pushovers. And they've done more PR work for Al-K-da, than Bin Laden ever did.

Professur, do you imply that Spanish troops should have stayed in Iraq just for the sake of appearances? So that no terrorist could claim victory?

That would be giving terrorists the power to control an entire nation. Zapatero said he´d be bringing the soldiers home many months ago, way before the terrorist attack in Madrid. We were there in the first place only to help with reconstruction and so on, and Iraq right now is AT WAR.

The battle of Iraq is over. There are a few insurgents that are creating a problem but Iraq is already in better shape then they've been in for over a decade. Everything is better than it was, even than before the war.
