HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - An Avon man who had been found with scores of images of child pornography on his computer and videos of children being violently raped has avoided prison time.

Edward J. Burke III, 47, was given a suspended sentence last week after going into a courtroom expecting to spend up to four years behind bars.

mmm ... i think the key thing here is- they weren't just porn images, but violent rapes of minors ... now that's pretty damn fucked up fer a start ... but the fucktard was distributing them as well?

(For BB's benefit) I happen to be a probation officer for adult felons. I supervise several sex offenders at any given time. As probationers, they are ideal cases. They dot Ts, they cross Is, they do all the little things right. Mainly because they do not want to draw attention to themselves. But what they don't do is stop. They will be the first to tell you how innocent they are, how unfair everything is, how bad they got cheated by the judge and the lawyers, how misunderstood they are. And without fail, they are some of the sickest, most twisted bags of shit walking our streets.

This guy wasn't caught with 1% of his stash, and I never met him. Within 36 hours, he'll be right back at it again. Only now he knows what not to do in order to avoid getting caught.

Judicial immunity...a wonderful thing. *gag*
