have a hard time swallowing that one, for some reason. Unless common law doesn't count, in which case probably about 60% of whites are illegitimate too.

Discussing racism is fine, but IMO it is unnecessary to resort to racial profiling and comparisons when a subject is being discussed.

I didn't see any racial profiling. As for how people discuss things, debating and reading debates is how people learn, and sometimes we mean are arguements and sometimes we are devils advocate to get thought processes moving, but to curtail any of it because someone don't like it?

OTOH it is possible to discuss something without resorting to these methods. How many 'race - based' threads have there been lately? And it's not like playing devil's advocate has helped in any of them - the same people are still arguing the same points and there seems to be very little 'learning' going on.

and what methods? if you are gonna call someone racist than do it, but back it up with proof, cause otherwise it is just a personal attack. If you think someone is wrong than say it, but don't come into a thread and rant about racist bullshit and expect anything to change.
 
Well I've done some 'learning' in the nearly last half century

and I'm open to learning some more

but not at the expense of accepting falsehoods

One thing I know for sure

the color of a persons skin doesn't bestow any
special character traits nor virtue

and

the most racist people I've had the misfortune
to encounter (in my extremely limited travels)
have all been people 'of color'!

When I meet a person regardless of race creed color
or religion I DO judge them based on their
personal values not race creed color
or religion

wanna talk about stereotypes
as a middle-aged white male I get preferential
treatment most everywhere I go

and that fookin' ROCKS I tell ya!
