SINGAPORE — The Summer Olympics are heading to London. The city beat out Paris in the final round of voting in Singapore. The announcement this morning drew a loud cheer in Trafalgar Square where a large crowd had gathered to watch the announcement.

London last hosted the games in 1948. Both cities were considered the favorites heading into today’s balloting by members of the International Olympic Committee, with Paris considered the top choice. New York was also vying to host the games, but was knocked out of the running in the second round of voting.

Madrid came in third in the balloting. And, Moscow was the first city eliminated by IOC members.
In the newly 'gentrified' east end of London.
'grats! Hope ya don't go broke! :D

Good. Saves us millions in security costs, bomb detection, and the like.

At the rate things are going, that Posse Comitatus act will be repealed soon, and any olympics held here get me a free entry. I'll be the one on the left, carrying the M-8. :D
