Bullet hits Lou Dobbs' NJ home
"Dobbs’ wife and his driver were outside the Wantage home Oct. 5 when they heard a gunshot around 10:25 a.m. The home is on a farm about 50 miles northwest of New York City.
...a bullet struck near the roof but didn’t penetrate the siding and fell to the ground outside. It was turned over to the state police ballistics unit."
I'm betting they'll find the bullet to be from a typical hunting rifle and that the shot came from pretty far away. Why would someone shoot at the driver and the wife if the threats were against Dobbs. Seems like you wouldn't want your target to be aware that you were serious if you really wanted to shoot him. It makes no sense to just change your target to his wife and driver.

Interpretation: Look at me! I'm a celebrity! I'm important enough to get shot at!
"It is small game hunting season, but no hunters were seen in the area."
