Luisie, got a question for you

:hmm: Luisie?, i hope that is not intended to make my name sounds as the female variation.

the symbol is $ (only one line accross de S).

Ammounts are written this way: $999,999.00 (notice that there's a period to separate integer units from fractional ones).

I usually write currencies on international boards in this way: MX$999.00, US$999.00, UK$999.00 (sorry i don't have the pound symbol in my keyboard). I don't know if that's the correct way of writing ammounts, but it sure includes the currency i'm talking about.

If you need more info, let me know :)

Thanks for clearing that up. And don't worry, I don't have a pound symbol on my keyboard anyways.

yeah, stupid american keyboard settings not having a £ sign. my copy of quark is us and i have to switch my keyboard setting to get it to work, usually i forget to change it back so am stuck with quid, bob, pounds, lucre etc.

I don't want to tap 5 keys to make a pound or euro symbol, so lets just do it UK$ and EU$? :) Besides I will forget the number string lol.

what ever happened to the good ol' USD and EU?

That's how I see it often written down :)
I personally always use the symbols...I know too much ALT combinations, it's almost pathetic :D
