It's important in any relationship that both parties should be able to have their own private space. But a man from Arkansas may have taken that a little too far, as he now faces charges over booby trapping his bedroom door so that his wife couldn't get in.

Authorities say that Herbert Caldwell Jr, 44, of Elkins, Arkansas rigged up an electrical fence - normally used to pen livestock in – so that it attached to the doorknob of the bedroom door. When his wife touched the doorknob – hooked up to the electric fence by a wire coathanger – it sent around 110V through her.

Police were called to the house at around 3.30 in the morning of Monday – the third domestic disturbance call they'd had to the house in three days.

Caldwell's wife was not seriously injured in the booby trapping incident, although reports do say she had 'a lump on her forehead'.

Caldwell has now been charged with misdemeanour third-degree domestic battery, felony installation of a booby trap, and something called 'terroristic threatening'.

It's suppose to keep the cow inside

If you & your wife have seperate bedrooms, something is amiss.

And thus the need for a "boobie trap" ,he wasn't getting any boobies otherwise.

*it doesn't mention anywhere they each had their own Bedroom .The reporter says "his" ,but the authorities say "the".Maybe she just didn't want to stay on the couch.

There are hundreds of good reasons for it Gonz. Too bad you have so little imagination or empathy. One can only hope that you'll grow up a bit before you die.

I hope I hope I hope I hope I can be as good aman as thee OH MIGHTY CHCR-KNOWER OF ALL THINGS GOOD & WISE.

If you have nothign of interest to add to the conversation, stfu.

The hubby and I have had separate bedrooms for about 15 yrs.
His snores are loud enough to peel wallpaper and I'm a very light sleeper.

We had to sleep apart or neither one of us would have gotten any sleep.
