Anyway, couldn't get an appt today so I may try again next week.

Do you still have bad nail beds?
I was/am not a biter but I have what they call "weak" nail beds so my nails lift up a bit and that causes an unevenness of the line of the "white" of the nail.
I love to get a french manicure on my toes though.

Yeah, they're still growing out. "They" say it takes about a year to properly grow them out, so I guess we'll see. I was a nail-biter for a long time and my nails got chewed down pretty badly. I also have weak nails.
