Jackson fans plan show of support

Michael Jackson's family and fans are planning to send a caravan of buses and cars to take fans to support the singer when he appears in court on Friday. Brother Jermaine Jackson will hold a press conference with fan groups on Monday to give details of their plans. Also on Monday, 25 Jackson accountants, lawyers, bankers and managers will meet to discuss the star's business affairs. Charged with seven counts of child molestation, he will appear in court in Santa Maria, California, on Friday. He also faces two counts of administering intoxicating liquor to a minor with the intent of committing a crime.

Mr Jackson, who is currently free on $3m (£1.6m) bail, has vigorously denied the allegations. The court hearing on Friday will be the arraignment - the first appearance before a judge at which the charges are read and the defendant enters a plea. Fans are expected to come from across California - and even further afield - to show their support, according to freelance publicist Angel Howansky, who is helping to co-ordinate the event. "We've had fans calling from out of state who are flying in just for the arraignment," she said. Monday's press conference will be held at the Jackson family home in Encino, California at 0900 local time (1700 GMT).
A statement said: "The press conference is being held by friends and fans of Michael Jackson to announce a caravan of buses and cars that will travel to Santa Maria to support Michael." The highly-motivated and well-organised fans will also meet on the evening before the arraignment to make placards for the following day.

Mr Jackson has extremely loyal and dedicated fans

:tardbang:

After everything, MJ still has a lot of fans out there. It's hard to say if he actually committed all these crimes or if it's just people out for his money.

Weeelll, it's not a civil suit (yet)

i like michael jackson's music...mostly...but that doesn't mean i think he deserves to get away with anything. he'll stand trial like anyone else.

No, he won't. He'll stand trial like a multimillionaire, with a battery of lawyers and their clerks looking for the tiniest loophole or impropriety in the prosecution's case. His trial will have no relationship whatsoever to the way you or I would stand trial. He'll stand trial like OJ stood trial.

IF the glove don't fit (but the evidence & the DNA do) you still must aquit

He's an easy target for money hungry people with little kids and no morals...the media has made him out to be kinda whacked anyway:S

well after the media circus yesterday, even if he isnt guilty he has shown a total lack of respect for the judicial system. HELLO LONDON we got a present for ya. :)

He's a self absorbed little freak that preys on children & the absurd stupidity of those blinded by his fame...shoot him now before he multiplies (again)

wasn't he a bit bankrupt?

oh btw, there was even some sloppy ho all the way from the netherlands :lloyd:

sad people can be found everywhere :D

Don't know any of the intricasies of the case....but I did find it funny when a brit newspaper printed his mugshot and the journalist wrote "Mr Jackson arrived at the police station looking pale and gaunt"

He's looked that way since 1997 :D

Not proven yet but news of him having financial troubles is nothing new... I think it was back when the first case was settled that they were saying he wasn't as well off as he'd have you believe and actually that he may have many creditors after him.... we'll see I guess or maybe not.
