Microsoft to offer Linux software?

whaddaya think the reason they released rotor for freebsd over linux was??

nah... they succeeded in commoditising web browsers, and they may do so with web servers as well (with the .net for apache stuff), but they make too much cash off the OS to commoditise that...

colour me unconvinced
 
Lycoris Desktop LX has already gone about as far as anyone can go to copy the XP look.
 
I read that Xandros is already selling their Linux distro.

For those that don't know, Xandros bought the Corel Linux distro, which was one of the most easiest to use linux.
 
it makes me sad to hear that corel linux didn't get archived in /dev/null long ago, i used it for about a day (way back in my linux infancy) and couldn't stand it even then. :crying5:
i was saving it a spot right between Divx DVDs and the channel bar from win98, pretty close to all my gwar mp3s too :headbang:
 
I've never used it, but i've read good things about it, and it is debian based.......it can't be that bad.
