Military aplogizes for killing 8 Iraqi policemen

BTW the way the current system works it gives more electoral votes per capita to rural and small states,

Man, you really need to go to a non publik educashion facilty & get learned.

The electoral process gives a number of votes per populace. 1 per Senators (2 in every state) & 1 each per members of the House. An example-California, in 2000, had 54 votes(the most). Wyoming had 3.(tied for the least) That way the 4 or 5 major states can't exclusively vote our President into office. Damned fair way to do it. I hated it until I understood the ramifications of a few, heavily populated states, being the sole deciders of the outcome.

This is a war on terrorism, not a war on alqieda, exclusively. Iraq is a sponsor of terrorism. Iraq has WMDs (even their "beloved" leader admitted that:hell, he used them). Iraq ignored the UN for more than a decade. Iraq is a center point for the rest of the war. Iraq had an atrocious human rights policy. Iraq supplied terrorists with weapons & a staging base. Iraq is no longer teh threat they once were & the terrorists are coming to us, on their soil, not America's or Britains or Frances. Pretty ingenious-take care of several problems with one move.

I'll reply to your other part about our supporting dictatorial countries when I have time.

connections between iraq and directly sponsoring terrorism or being a staging base or supplier of terrosit groups such as al qaeda is unproven. most terrorism analysts reject it and the uk government left it from their dossiers on iraq.

the hussein regime certainly had wmd's, the us government sold it to them. the amount and scale of their weapons development is still subject to great debate and speculation. we are still waiting for finds to be made public 4 months after the war was declared over.

Some, not all. They also had their own laboratories working on things the US (or Britain) wouldn't let them have.

Iraqi policemen who survived recounted from their hospital beds Saturday how they begged the American soldiers to stop shooting, screaming in Arabic and English that they were police. The Americans kept firing volley after volley, they said. The fusillade raged for a half hour as more men died and others groaned in pain from their wounds, they said.

Two of the Iraqi vehicles had a large police emblems and they were wearing uniforms.

How many must die before somebody does something to stop terrorism/dictators/tyrants? How many planes must we allow to attack before we end it? How many innocents should die before we stop them? HOW GODDAMN MANY??? This is war son, not a walk in the park. These awful trigger happy soldiers are protecting YOUR way of life. Don't believe me? Think I'm overstating the matter? You're a smart guy, use your head. Just exactly how bad off would this world be if the US did what you & people like you want & became an isolationist country? The last time we tried that you got this:

too many would die but war is more death. do we need to use violence to settle every matter like this? too many had already died I admit that but tehre has to be better solutions than killing more people

do we need to use violence to settle every matter like this?

Yes. Do you have a better solution?

About 25 uniformed Iraqi policemen in two pickup trucks and a sedan. Two of the vehicles pursuing the bandits were painted in the blue and white colors of the Iraqi police, while the pickup truck with the gun mounted on it was white.

Where do you get "emblems"? This was all I could find. Keep in mind, it was 3AM & we're still at war.

No justification, explanation. None of us are on the front lines so some people have given one side & I'm presenting the other.

i think trying to negotiate rather than just attack is a helluva lot better. there isnt any real justification for killing anyone is there? unless they deserve it(i am for the death penalty). i just dont believe in the use of violence. wouldnt using violence to stop someone like Sadam make us just as bad? wed also be killing civilians regardless of whether or not we mean to

Wasn't 12 years of "negotiations" enough? Would 15 or 20 or 50 been better?
