i just polished off 4 hot, fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies. MMMM, i couldn't help it, they were that perfect blend of crunchy and gooey, just right for dunking in an ice cold glass of milk and then i realize that moments like these are the reason that i am carrying around a few extra pounds. so what i'm wondering is - is it worth schlepping around extra weight to enjoy moments like these?

No you gelatenious blob...

j/k....but all jokes aside it isn't...seems fun now but it catches up fast at your weekest..old age.

OH yeah...but oatmeal raison all the way and the milks gotta be frosty cold. I usually put mine in the freezer for five minutes before drinking.

:grinyes:

They're made out of sugar butter and flour
You put 'em in the oven 'bout a quarter hour
But the thing that gives 'em their magic power
Are the chocolate chips inside.

Chocolate Chip Cookies, I gotta have more
You can bake 'em in the oven or buy 'em at the store
But whatever you do have 'em ready at the door
And I'll love you till I die.

Anyone want the rest of the verses?????
Once again, over the hill bar singer fodder (well folk singer this time, I guess).

Just remember tonks, you asked.

Chocolate Chip Cookies --Bill Steele

They're made out of sugar butter and flour
You put 'em in the oven 'bout a quarter hour
But the thing that gives 'em their magic power
Are the chocolate chips inside.

Chorus:
Chocolate Chip Cookies, I gotta have more
You can bake 'em in the oven or buy 'em at the store
But whatever you do have 'em ready at the door
And I'll love you till I die.

I don't need booze, I can do without pot
I don't need nicotine no thanks a lot
But bring 'em from the oven all nice and hot
And I'm a chocolate chip cookie fiend.

Chorus

Now if you want to make a friend
You don't need looks, nor money to lend
Just give 'em all your love and make sure you send
Chocolate chip cookies too.

Chorus

Knew a little woman once upon a time
Ugly as sin and she didn't have a dime
I was gonna leave her but she changed my mind
When she made those cookies for me.

Chorus

Knew another woman, pretty as a star
Had a lot of money and a big sports car
But I had to leave her that's the way things are
She couldn't make cookies for me.

Chorus

(Slowly)
Now when I die I don't want wings
A golden halo or a harp that sings
Just give me a book, a fire and someone that brings
Chocolate chip cookies all day

Chorus.

I think that's all of them. Bill wrote the second song in the Sierra Club survival song book (Garbage) plus numerous other thought provoking and enjoyable folk songs.
