my new rope

well, the climbing rope i ordered for the climbing trip i went on TWO WEEKS AGO showed up today. For anyone that knows anything about climbing it's a Maxim 50m x 9.8mm. I love it, It's so shiny and purdy (it actually is shiny, I couldn't take a picture with the flash on)

well climbing in circles sure is easier than going all the way up those damned cliffs

It's definitely prettier than the rigging belts I'm used to...they don't look like the easter bunny puked all over them

Oh I have interesting memories with rope... Tell me, can you use that for mischief or is that rope too expensive?

I got it at the pro rate, basically at cost to the vendor, and it was still $78US for 50m. A bit expensive for mischief, depending who it is.

A friend used some retired rope when we towed his GTP. Holy crap, that stuff will stretch. Thats all I have to say.

they're dynamic so they stretch a little bit. when they get old they stretch a lot more. i've got about 50' in my trunk that i wouldn't dare climb on but it works fine for plugging cars

Purdy rope... how much weight does it take before it breaks? Is that the breaking strain?
