Yeah, but still Southern rock as a broad brush catagory. I don't think too many people ever confused them for CSN&Y.

ZZ Top is in no way in the same genre as .38 Special or Molly Hatchett. The closest they get is, being from the south & having guys in them.

I saw ZZ Top about 7 times (dating to the livestock days)
