old cell phones

we just got new cell phones. that will bring our collection of old cell phones to 4. i remember reading some time ago about a group that takes donations of old cell phones. they reprogram them to only dial 911 and give them to people that cant afford a cell phone.


is there such a group or organization, or am i hallucinating again?

Yeah, all cellphones have to beable to dial 911 no matter if they have a plan or not...it's the law. I guess if not people might be in an emergency and be relying on a cellphone that they believe is in working order but really has no plan and then if they couldn't call 911 they'd be screwed...

On a side note...LOVE the "tassels" gf
