online genealogy research

I have my name on all the forums quite often. It was VERY exciting the first time around!
 
there is a uk census website, where they have the census information from the uk 1891 i think, all accessible for free. i posted the link to it a while back [something that greenfreak started i think, on her family name]. only thing is, when it started up 6-8 months ago the servers overloaded with the hits so its down for a rebuild.

due up soon again [i think they're beta-ing it right now], it is a pretty massive resource. i just hope the servers can take it. )
 
Holy shit :( . I punched in my last name (Schaftlein) and there were a bunch of replies, man. The last one on the list is my brother that died a few years ago. Talk about a shock:(
 
I know. My uncle that passed away recently was on the list too. Very unsettling to see his name on a death list.
