You're going from one place to the same place - via a pit stop in a place 1,500 miles away?

The pit stop WILL be the point of the trip. It's just that I don't think I'll be staying long enough to call it a visit...

My new background:

Ain't he a peach?

True. If it were someone we didn't know, that would be one thing... but the visuals of two people that we DO know... man alive.

I was going to post this in the applicable thread over at Cat's place but since it is down I am posting it here.
This is a shot of Mally's arm that she burnt on the side of the grill on the 4th. We took her to the Dr. yesterday to get some prescription burn cream and some tylenol with codiene to help with the pain.

She is dealing with it well and it seems to be healing quickly. It already looks tons better than it did on the 4th.

Probably. When the wound is no longer open I will start using a product like Mederma that reduces scarring...but she is so young that it should be very faint as she ages.

Like I said at the time it happened, that would be a pretty bad burn even for a large man, let alone a little girl.

She's been a real trooper. The new cream is terrific. It doesn't sting at all and creates a soothing barrier. She is mainly bummed because she can't take baths or go swimming in HomeLAN's pool until it heals.

Ow!! Poor girl. I've got a scar from something like that on my leg. I hope she heals up fast and gets back to the swimming.

OHHHH!!! Poor baby!

The grill...is there a story I've overlooked in the past few days?

I mentioned it at Cat's...we were all at his place and he was lighting his grill - a regular round black grill but it was unfamiliar to Mally who is used to gas grills. We told both girls quite a few times to be careful of the grill because it was very hot but in the excitement of the day it went in one ear and out the other. she had just gotten a capri sun out of the cooler and was darting away with it and ran smack into the side of the grill.
Man! You wouldn't believe the noise! Cat's Mom was very kind and helpful with cold wet washcloths and a dozen bandaids and a popsicle.

I just showed the pic to Dara (she's an RN in case you didn't know) and she says the Mederma will probably help quite a bit. She also asked what kind of burn cream you were using and whether it had aloe vera. Kids, huh?

Silver sulfadiazine cream. I do not believe it contains aloe.
Could you ask Dara if I am right in assuming that I should wait until the wound is no longer open before beginning with the mederma?
