Pay Per View Executions

I read somewhere that there was a state, I think Arizona that was actually considering this. What do you think, would you pay to watch an execution?


My Opinion is that I would, as long as it was done somehow that wasn't just laying on a bed getting a shot. It'd have to be fed to hungry animals, or "The Running Man" Idea could work too.
 
If you really stop and think about it, Public Executions were a part of our life up until between 50 to 75 years ago. Public hangings were done in counties, and the entire county was told of it before it happened. And, a large number of people showed up. I don't think it's that strange.
 
Yes I support public executions. Those that don't want to see it, don't watch. Those that want to see it, watch. No one is forcing anyone. I don't want it on PPV though. Put it on CNN and BBC.
 
I think it would have to be PPV, or at least an Adult network. I don't like the thought of my kids being able to see them at their whim. If I'm with them, then ok, but not by themselves.
 
Why should anybody take pleasure in watching another person die? Don't get me wrong, I too support the death penalty, but commercialising it is just plain SICK.
 
An accident isn't a execution. An execution is taking somebody's life with rational consideration.

Children may have gone to war and may have seen executions. That doesn't mean it's good for them.

I would not personally want to see an execution. That said, I don't think there should be a prohibition against public executions. I would just choose not to participate, whatever the medium.
 
It doesn't say it is bad for the either. We survived until now did we not?

I actually think this pay per view thing is good. Part of the revenue can go to the government for the execution. Good idea I think.

i only wish those who cram themselves down everyones thraot went my that. now i know thisll be wrong but am i the only one who saw this thread and thought of George Carlins routine on this? and id watch to see a sadistic killer get what he/she deserves. and id like to see some of GCs ideas on there too. :evilsml: :elaugh1: :elaugh3: :elaugh2:
 
I think in China, you have to pay for the bullet that executes you...
