Well, perhaps, but today's laws aren't so much the problem. All of these lawsuits are based on laws of 40 years ago or so. That lady that smoked was 64. She started when she was 17. That is 47 years ago. Now, lets move back to 1960 or so. A number of times Philip Morris publicly denied the harms of smoking and the fact that it was addictive. That is deceptive advertising and dishonesty. You CANNOT advertise by spreading lies. Now their past is coming to hunt them.
