Planting

I just planed some old grass seeds I needed to get out before they ruined. (don't ask :D )

Do you think it's too early?

regular old Kentucky tall fescue.

Yeah Nixy, they just get too dry or something after a while, and these may already be too old.
I don't know yet.
Sometimes mold can kill them.

Logically, it should even be ok if it freezes as seed and then thaws.

Shouldn`t it? Isn`t that what happens to not mass harvested and bagged up grass seed when it`s just left alone?

:confuse3:

As long as the seeds are kept dry they will be OK, although the older they get the less of a chance they will have to germinate....

Yeah, the were in the old potting shed, and the rat, cats, and kids had the bag
in pieces, and scattered a little.
Been that way for I don't know how long...maybe 8 months to a year.
The 10-10-10 sitting beside it was about half solid. It took me a while to
break/crumble it back up.
