Racists calling people racist

Man, this is crazy. A white lawmaker banned from the Black Caucus based on race, then accused by those banning him of being...you guessed it...a racist.

"I'm not but you are!"

No comment from me as to political party affiliation of those involved, it's as you'd expect.

So...who's wrong here? And why?

If this guy was simply trying to stir shit, he's in the wrong. OTOH, there shouldn't be any such thing as a black caucus, IMO. There surely isn't a white caucus. Can you imagine the outrage?

Sure there is, only in most states they call it the legislature.

Read a bit of his blog here and there.... Seems like an angry guy just looking for some attention is about all.... No short wonder why they called him a "strange man".

He needs to be more creative. These kinds of things have been tried before, like the male golfer who tried to play LPGA tour events.

My brother was a Houston police officer for 25 years. He said that black officers were more than welcome to join either of the police unions, but that white officers were excluded from the black union. Oh, well.

When I was in Cegep (junior college) all african american students where AUTOMATICALLY inrolled in the "black and third world" club. But when a student, a black guy BTW, upset that he was enrolled in this club, tried to start "white and first world" club it was denied.

(the part about being enrolled in clubs there was the more members, the bigger budget you get)

Actually? They're both wrong. Shaw, for being a pinhead, and not giving over a copy of the bylaws like he agreed to, and Campfield, for trying to bolster his appeal by stirring shit. Now...if Shaw had acted honorably, and handed over the copy of the bylaws, like he agreed to, this would be a non-issue. Instead, he, too, is trying to bolster his appeal by stirring shit. In other words...politics as usual.
