Random election commentary thread

I hereby propose a new law, effective at noon tomorrow.

All 50 states will, effective at 12:01PM EST, purge their voter rolls. Completely & absolutely. That allows nearly two full years before the next election cycle to have those wishing to re-register time to do so.

Following the purge it shall be deemed illegal for anyone, except duly authorized election office personel, to register or cause to be registered anyone.

a runoff...in the case where one seat is vacant & three or more contenders run for it & none gets a majority vote. The top (usually) 2 get to try again.
 
You know what I can't understand year after year?

The mentality that drags one out on election night, or primary night, or whatever night to jump and cheer and wave signage. For what?

WHY, crazed sign people? why do you do that?

I think that's the key word. But expand that to any time. We were in Springfield Mo last weekend when Blunt was supposed to be there, drove down one street and there were no less than 100 people there waving Blunt signs. Why?
