Me Pappy was an Air Force pilot he served 26 years.
But me I have zero stereoscopic vision
therefore zero depth perception so
the best I could do was a class III
medical. So I couldn’t fly for $’s Boo Hoo
Much less, the military.
I earned my private pilots’ license
on my 23rd birthday. I flew Cessna 152
and 172's for fun until my kid was born.
Funny, how a Kid can slow down the playtime.
He’s basically outta here in 13 months so I’ve been
thinking seriously about taking to the sky once more.
It's just that my only flight instructor made it very very clear.
This airplane isn't going to crash tied down to the ground.
So if anything happens to it between the time you unhook the first tie down chain
until you hook-up the last tie down again.
It was all your fault!
(a lot of lightplane accidents end in instant death in that case you
just better hope you weren’t carrying passengers, lol)
Wish folks would realize life is also like that as well.
From the time you pop outta yo Mama til the day they shovel the dirt in your face...
There are worse things than landing at the wrong airport,
but I’m certain BOTH pilots airline careers are like So over!
