Many other? So there are some that are perfectly OK?

Sure...not sexual diseases...but some other diseases would be acceptable.

Crohn's Disease comes to mind...but I'm sure there are many other diseases a person could have that are not sexual and not contagious. Why would I dismiss someone for having something like that?

This belief could likely explain your luck with men to date.

Maybe.

Doesn't help that a guy tried to pick me up at the bar on Sat and within 2 hours he was making out with some other random girl. I mean, it's obvious he only wanted one thing...glad I wasn't drunk enough to fall for that.

I don't envy you searching for companionship in this environment. But then, I had that one in 4 billion served to me on a silver platter, long before hormones could cloud the issue.

A friend of mine also made a comment when I said something about the quality of the men at the bar that night was well below par (I meant just in the sense of finding someone to two step with, not even in a potential mate sense...which obviously has a higher bar). He said "The quality of the women doesn't matter to me, she only has to last one night after all." I mean, I'm pretty sure he was PARTIALLY kidding but still...doesn't do much to help me keep chugging along with the "Not all men are sleezes" attitude...

Look at it from his perspective. He "tried" to pick you up; that implies he failed. Is he supposed to just mope around because he failed to pick you up? I think he was just trying to move on.

Oh, I have no issue with the fact he went on to pick up someone else. Although, if I could have heard what he was saying to me I would have probably danced with him, he was cute...I didn't know he was trying to pick me up until after he left though because I couldn't hear what he was saying...my friend pointed it out to me. My issue is that he was perfectly OK with making out with some chick in public (and she was ok with making out with him) within less than 2 hours of meeting. That to me doesn't say "Hi I want to get to know you" it says "Hi I want to get in your pants"...I'm not interested in someone who just wants a romp in the hay...which is what many people seem to want these days.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I even told me friend he was the worst wingman ever because he had thought a guy who "OBVIOUSLY came here with that other chick" was trying to pick me up. He assured me the guy WAS trying to pick me up and had gone on to pick up that other chick after I "shot him down" (ie. wasn't able to hear what he was saying so he left).

Or, maybe it's possible she's just easy, or was horny. Most guys aren't going to turn down free poontang if it's offered to them.

Ain't nothin' wrong with a casual fuck.

Agreed...but lately in my world it seems to be all anyone is looking for. It's nice to have a man come by everyone once in awhile who'd actually like to date me. Even if it's just 3 or 4 dates and it doesn't work out...ALL I've found in the last 2 or 3 years are guys who just want a quick fuck. NO ONE who has wanted to actually date me and take me out places.
