yuppers, wearing that removes certain protections of medical privacy, I bet Koby would love to see his girlfriend wearing that one.

If a small minority of women are comfortable enough to wear that kind of slogan then good for them! I certainly would considerate (in certain situations... rallies and demos) it if I felt it would encourage other women especially those underage to make the right choice for them without prejudice.

Just as BoP has mentioned "pro-lifers" "anti-abortionists" emblazen their property with their propaganda why not the other side?

And just because a few women are confident enough to wear such an item it doesn't mean that there isn't still an overwhelming need to keep such medical history private... just incase those drivers with a certain bumper sticker get a little too carried away and mistake road for pavement (sidewalk) !!!!! ;)

There is still a right to privacy (your ass or not :p ) it is up to the individual to make the decision about keeping it that way!

I'm also extremely pleased to see an organistation like the PPFA (only had an initial glance though.... so if anyone were to mention any certain political persuassion I couldn't comment)

In the US.

You wear that shirt, and someone has a great chance of getting your medical information into a rape case like Koby's. (even years later)

You have willing gave up your right to medical privacy by publicly stating your medical history. That would be the argument from the otherside.

Oh god would I love to see that in court, another case of "I am not responsible for my own action"

(not to mention the free speech I would be tempted loudly spout upon a woman wearing that)

Did you even read my post?

I was simply stating that initially the medical information partaining to an abortion should initially be kept sacrisanct (sp?... dyslexic) by the medics, organisations involved regardless of thier own beliefs....

It is then up to the individual to decide if they'd where such a t-shirt, air their situation on a public forum... or even share their experience with every new partner she feels close to.

But even then it would be a breech of medical ethics for any medic to disclose any medical info to another body.

That may be true in your land. Here once you relinquish your right to medical privacy it's open game to the courts. Yuo no longer have the right to privacy in that matter if can be related to a case.

I'm not talking about "what should be . . " This is real world "how it is" rules here.

I don't think its like that here... police and the courts would require a warrent for access to pstient details and then it would have ti directly relate to the case...

America.. land of the free... too free sometimes!

Wonder what would happen if a man wore this t-shirt :p
I'd wear that shirt. In the bars around here, it would be a guaranteed laid.
