Staind - WasteWe've all seen the man at the liquor store begging for your change
The hair on his face is dirty, dreadlocked and full of mange.
He asked a man for what he could spare with shame in his eyes,
Get a job, you fucking slob's all he replied

tonks said:really? i never really thought of it as a sad song...i always thought of it as a song of a new start...or hope of one anyway...it's it amazing the different things people get out of lyrics?
i know what a wonderwall is....but i see it as a metaphor...but i've been out in left field before....Oz said:Yeah, lyrics are always open to personal interpretaion.
I always saw the song being about a guy who starts out a hopefull dreamer, makes a series of mistakes in life and then goes back to his room looking to his Wonderwall for help.......because dreaming is a lot better than reality.
(The Wonderwall was the singers bedroom wall when he was a teenager......filled with posters of his heroes and idols)
