Take Toronto off the fun spots for the time being

At least 25 people are being investigated for SARS and 1,000 more are in quarantine after an undetected suspected case of SARS spread through a ward at North York General Hospital and into St. John's Rehabilitation Hospital. As Karen Palmer and Tanya Talaga report, health officials are also investigating the deaths of two people to determine whether SARS was a factor.
 
public health commissioner said that 'the cases do not currently meet the probable or suspect case definition set out by the who and the cdc' and that officials were treating them as sars to be on the safe side.

I heard about the St.John's one...it's on our church's prayer list. It's run by nuns. One of the victims is a nun. It's a real shame.

Just when they thought that they were out of the deep water...boom, they get dragged back in.

TORONTO - Precautions at Toronto hospitals since last month's SARS outbreak failed to prevent dozens of possible new cases, health officials conceded Monday as the World Health Organization put Canada's largest city back on its list of SARS-affected places.
