Scientists fear Hawaii volcano eruption

*giggles and tries to remember to call Miki "Hami*

You know, you see pictures of the eruptions and they're beautiful .. you watch video footage of it and it's breathtaking ... but to see it in person ... there are just no words ... I'm sure seeing the Northern Lights is much like that experience ... you have to see it to truly appreciate it ....

so ku'u and hami :)D)... Road Trip?

You've got that right. Every time i see pictures of the northern lights, even good ones i think, what's up with the photo of the green smudge?

What about general smoke and sulfur/noxious/poison air? Do the prevailing winds take it anywhere near you or leave it in any kind of concentration to notice?

We get vog when the vent is really acting up but for the most part, it dissapates (sp?) with the tradewinds .... during those times when the upper level low moves down and we lose our trades, the vog gets really bad ... my son has asthma and that's when it really acts up.

The sulfer smell you really don't notice unless you're up at the volcano.... with heavy vog you can almost taste it in the air even where we live ... I don't think it's considered "poison" unless you're in a heavily concentrated vog area though ...

Don't blame you a bit there. I've been in LA twice. The time I was there in 83, they were in the middle of a stage 3 smog alert. You couldn't see more than about 200 feet. The air was thick enough to cut. People stayed indoors for weeks. A white dress in the morning would be dingy grey by lunch. No fun.

I have to say Gonz, this is a new low for you ... hard to believe this site would have an administrator who's as abusive and prone to be in attack-mode as you have become. What a shame

I don't belive this to be an attack. It was an attempt at humor straying from your & Ku'u's seemingly overly sensitive aversion to our collective government. I will maintain discipline & not respond with further mentions about your state. As far as other attacks, outside of sparring with LastLegionary, I'm confused.

Hey, where else can you get your vitamin and mineral supplement for the next 25 years in one breath of air?
