See, everybody hates the French

Especially by someone who has never felt the need to do their part and serve this country.

Why do you think I am calling you a commie or hippy?

You got a complex?

If my country needed me I would feel no regret in doing so. In the meantime I am going to school learning chemistry and such. I am sure if they needed I could make some TNT or RDX.

Since the draft is not in force I will keep learning in school as I have been for sometime. Besides I think with as many surgeries as I have had on my knee I would probably serve them best in the lab.

Well ol'man, It just seems that you are attributing any anti-war voices (French specifically) to communism. And the blanket you threw over boomers would also include me. Did you stop to think that the boomers were correct in their assertion of corruption regarding the Viet Nam war? For chripes sake, our CIA assassinated South Viet Nam's legitimately elected president. So who really disgraced the flag? the hippies or the CIA? You do know that National Guard have been activated for this thing in the ME, right? Doesn't that suggest that they could use all willing bodies?

I heard last week that a restaurant had renamed their french fries. I think they called them Union fries, or American fries. Summat like that.

I'm bringing this up from the dead...

WASHINGTON - Show the flag and pass the ketchup was the order of the day in House cafeterias Tuesday. Lawmakers struck a lunchtime blow against the French and put "freedom fries" on the menu.

And for breakfast they'll now have "freedom toast."

The name changes follow similar actions by restaurants around the country protesting French opposition to the administration's Iraq (news - web sites) war plans.
First its little restraunts, now its the House. Movin on up!
