Yup, it worked. Took a few painful weeks, though. He' stubborn enough that the "deal with it, because it ain;t going to change" approach is about the only one that will work.

It won't just be my Mom. He's got a whole other set of grandparents. Mine isn't giving up, either. She wants to spend one-on-one time with him as he grows up, and she's not walking away over the long term.
