songs that make you sad :(

Beth, Love hurts, and So tired. If you ask me, those songs show the real talent of their artists.

There's one by Lone Star that gave me grief on the road too, but I'm damned if I can call to mind the title.

The guy calls home from his hotel room and the kids ask when he'll be home. Then the wife comes back on the line. Cut me into little bits and left me bleeding, I'll tell ya.

googled...yep :D

He called her on the road
From a lonely cold hotel room
Just to hear her say I love you one more time
But when he heard the sound
Of the kids laughing in the background
He had to wipe away a tear from his eye
A little voice came on the phone
Said "Daddy when you coming home"
He said the first thing that came to his mind.

I'm already there
Take a look around
I'm the sunshine in your hair
I'm the shadow on the ground
I'm the whisper in the wind
I'm your imaginary friend
And I know I'm in your prayers
Oh I'm already there.

She got back on the phone
Said I really miss you darling
Don't worry about the kids they'll be alright
Wish I was in your arms
Lying right there beside you
But I know that I'll be in your dreams tonight
And I'll gently kiss your lips
Touch you with my fingertips
So turn out the light and close your eyes.

I'm already there
Don't make a sound
I'm the beat in your heart
I'm the moonlight shining down
I'm the whisper in the wind
And I'll be there until the end
Can you feel the love that we share
Oh I'm already there.

We may be a thousand miles apart
But I'll be with you wherever you are

I'm already there
Take a look around
I'm the sunshine in your hair
I'm the shadow on the ground
I'm the whisper in the wind
And I'll be there until the end
Can you feel the love that we share
Oh I'm already there
Oh I'm already there...

* wipes a tear

I'm caught in a quandry. I don't know wether to thank you for clearing that up, or call you a bitch for posting the lyrics. Guess I'll thank you.

I need a drink. I don't drink enough to feel like this.

Evanescence : my immortal

i heard it in the car with my bf the other night, and i just started crying.
"why are you crying?" he asked me.
i pointed at the cd player and croaked out, "so beautiful..."

the thing is... i dont know the exact reason i cried.
i cry at beauty, a lot. when something is overwhelmingly beautiful to me... i cry.
and this song is indeed beautiful, sonically pleasing to the extreme.

but there are also some lines that seemed to attack my brain and get it to start remembering things, things i'd rather forget, but can't...

"these wounds wont seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase..."

i sat there in the car, crying, as i am now, as i listen to my mp3 of the song...

Any thing by Britney Spears or Nsync. I feel that i must flow blood of my own to end the pain of that music. Otherwise none....music is one thing that should not sadden you, it is a device of nature to inpire and argue over internet forums.

i think music -- good music -- is to make you feel. happy, sad, whatever... if it envokes an emotion, in my opinion, it's good, and the writer of it has accomplished something great.

to consistently stir deep, raw, emotions is a talent i can only hope to ever posess.
i've done it once, that i'm aware of.

lots of David Foster's stuff... For Just a Moment is one...

and the theme from Love Story... :crying3:

At the moment... "my immortal" by evenesence. There have been too many songs in the past tha made me want to slash my wrists to list.

Do you pray
In the night
Can you appreciate the wind
And I won't care
I won't fight
I need you close to sing
It's the same beginning
Gone away
It's the same old, same old song
Gone away
It's my whole life
In words
And I can't breathe
When you cry
But I'll be there to hold you tight
And I would kill
I would fight
To keep you close
I keep singing the same way
I won't live
If you died
If I can feel you in the wind
And this is me
It's my life
I'll need you close to sing
It's the same beginning
Gone away
It's the same old, same old song
Gone away
It's my whole life
In words
Gone away
It's the same old, same old song
Gone away
It's my whole life
And I can't say
And I don't know
How far
I'll go
And I can't say
And I don't know
How far
I'll go
Gone away
It's the same old, same old song
Gone away
It's my whole life
In words
Gone away
It's the same old, same old song
Gone away
It's my whole life
