We've had them for years, PT. They also perform searches for aircraft and black boxes and the like. And we've even taught them to deliver magnetic explosive charges to ship hulls....
if it were a person and a dolphin against a shark, I'd pick the person...but I really feel that using them in this way is a heinous way for humans to conduct themselves. [/opinion]

Well, from what I've been reading, most of the time they don't get hurt, except in training, but then what kind of animal training doesn't hurt the animal?
