Last night we were helping nalani's son study for his spelling test today. For a 5th-grade kid who's going to a Hawaiian language school, I was proud of his English spelling.

neighbor & patience. That was the two hardest words.

Other stupid words: Wednesday, people, know

yep, over here we use neighbour, australia mihgt as well but i'm not certain of that

seems that most of the time i spell "the english way"
You seem very Britishy.

Its neighbor, color, favor, honor, harbor, etc., in American English. Even Canadians use them some of the time. And I know the brits use them when they change the font color :p

I'm actually really proud of my son and his proficiency in both Hawaiian and English ..

and can you just imagine how screwed up he'd be if he had to learn all the "various ways according to geographic location" to spell certain words? ... hell, that's be enough for me to pull him out of school :D
