Saw a sign in a Subway Restaurant window for their new cordon bleu and chicken sandwich, the sign read " french and chicken just goes together naturally " and has a Chicken dressed like Napoleon. :lol2:

Hey Prof are they running the same ad campaign in Quebec. :D
I'll try and remember my digicam next time.

We just didn't think big enough or have enough Italian immigrants bringing tasty fillings.

 For a country that had at least one colony on every continent, you'd think it would be different.

Amazing isn't it. We only started getting decent food from across the world in the past 20 years. The nightmare socialism has finally died and the usual xenophobic reaction of "I'm not eating that foreign crap" has fianlly died to. Thank god.

I like fish and chips, though...served up in a rolled-up newspaper (fake, of course), and smothered in malt vinegar...

Nope. I flew through once, but only stayed for two hours. Enough for a healthy serving of fish and chips, though. :grinyes:

I had fish and chips several times while in New Zealand. It was different at each place and all quite yummy. The most authentic was probably in Picton (ferry terminus on South island) at a small shoppe.
