OK, maybe I'm missing something here...please explain to me.

Why don't they arrest Arafat? He doesn't have so much support left from the Palestinians.....

In a nutshell..it would give the radicals an excuse to kill, and the Arab nations a reason to force the weak to take up arms. Not to mention the UN would claim the Murder of a Nobel peace prize winner.

In 2001 it was awarded to the UN. Basically peace at any cost. Even if it means millions of innocent lives lost.
