Police say Grant De Patie, 24, was run over by the car and dragged behind it shortly after midnight on Tuesday when he tried to stop the driver from fleeing without paying for $12.30 worth of gas at an Esso station.

"He said he had tried to do a gas run and ran somebody over," said Chris Mitchell, 16. "He told me he could hear the guy screaming under the car."

And hes prbably gonna get off with a slap on the wrist because of
A friend of the accused youth said the teenager showed up at his house, drunk and in tears.
:banghead:

I thnk for drinking and driving there should be harsher punishments. he took a life because of his actions.

Besides it was the fault of the attendant for
being willing to die for $12.30 Canadian!

read the order of the posts. I went by what was intially said. THEN he posted the actual story. after he posted the story I changed mine since it was murder. I understand a lot more than you give me credit for(unless you dont want to give me the credit for it)

The truly frightening part is how far the gas-attendant was dragged while stuck under the car.

I saw this on TV...they had a map of the route the kid drove(easy to follow because of the trail of blood on the street) 7.5kms !!!

Drunk or not....GUILTY!

It's horrific. By the time he was er...disengaged from the car, he was naked. They were pulling pieces of his clothing off the underside of the car. :(
