Well, I thought about this for ages. And I decided on the second one. I have a theory that this would teach me to be more confident, as I would spend all night feeling okay about myself. Then when I went back and saw that I didn't look as good as I thought - yeah, I would be pissed, but there wouldn't be anything I could do about it. If I knew I looked shit before I went out I'd spend the whole time worrying about it and subsequently get stuck in a cognitive rut of negative thinking.

I think too much, maybe... :glasses3:

Still learning...

My old avatar or my new one?

(hint: if you say my old one, I'll hit you in the face till you look like Barbara Streisand)

You should tell me these things. You know how I value your opinion so. I however, am much a fan of Mr Simpsonite McJaundice. :D

Freeze to death, or burn to death?

You have a super hottie date lined up tonight. Hes a serious catch and you only get one shot. A long lost super close friend who joined the Navy recieved an unexpected one night shore leave. You are the only one in the area she knows. She will be gone by dawn and not be able to come back until who knows when. Do you break the date to be with your friend?

Freeze. Ive had frostbite as well as 3rd degree burns. Freezing is a zillion times less pain.. and as it just so happens, makes you delerious and disconnected well before the endgame sets in. Fire is sheer over the top pain and adrenal animal flight and fight terror spasms. Ick.

Hate to be obvious, but I'd see the friend. Knowing me I'd probably weigh up everything and in this case, the scales are saying I should see the friend. Got more of an obligation to them.

If you had to spend your entire life only being able to watch films, OR listen to music - which would it be?

Music. Music has been around since the dawn of man. Its sheer beat and participation involves the senses and emotional pull strings far better than any movie could. Just close your eyes... pop a beat.. any beat.. and you can just make it up as you go along from the internal wellspring. It moves you and motivates you.

I would also have taken the friend. True friendships are one in a million. Its nothing to be taken lightly.

I don't know what I'd choose, truthfully. I love music. I love film. Plus, film has music in it most of the time - and I'm a fan of soundtracks. I don't know.

unc, I was gonna ask you something. You use loads of britishisms. You know, like brit colloquialisms. Why is that?

Also...what kind of music are you into? Just out of interest, is all.

Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock?

I try and embellish a bit of slang that the person im am adressing can relate to. If im tossing in a bit of wit I can either use local slang that you might not understand, or I can use brit slang towards a brit audience and have the meaning be clear .. as well as having a certain comforting inclusive effect.

Music:(500+ CDs) partly the bigs guns of classics: Bach, Beethoven... , Frank Zappa, 70s grade heavy metal, Classic rock from the 60s- modern day: Who, Beatles, Queen..., 80s new wave, classical guitar, and lots of little stuff like Weezer, Korn, Billy Joel. Theres too many genres to think of offhand. The one thing I don't have is country.

Sandra Bullock ... Juila is a local girl from 5 miles down the road. Shes a stuck up little shrew.

^ that was meant as an independent : and an open paren( ... not an unhappy face. We dont have edit powerz here, so I neer can fix it.

I was wondering why you were randomly sad. :D

Hey, I do that thing with the slang as well...weird. I like to use other people's vernacular to make a better connection. Only...the undeniable fact is that British slang rules. So I can't help being English sometimes.

There's a song that I fell in love with a while ago. I mean, I really fell in love with it. It's the type of song that either you wish you'd written, or you wish someone had written it for you. (It doesn't help that the guy who sings it is very cute). Actually, it's the guy in my sig. The song's called 'Strange and Beautiful' by Aqualung. I don't know whether you'd like it, but you should 'acquire' it anyway and have a listen. I just want people to hear it. It's one of those songs that is totally obscure, that's no one's heard of but you, and that you obtained by routing around for ages in little record shops and on the internet, for information.

Theres a little 20 second playbox on this one.

I can't play anything on my speakers, it'll wake everyone up :D I'll do it tomorrow, though. Or today, even. :retard:
