The Maaco commercial I can't stand

This line from the current Maaco commercial drives me absolutely bonkers.

"How does Maaco do all this for as little as $249? Simple. We paint more cars than anybody, and we can do it for less."

Way to answer the question with the question. We paint cars for less because we paint cars for less.

I'd be willing to pay a little more for the Ambassador paint service if it meant they'd use the money to hire someone to actually proofread the copy writing.

Earl Scheib had been using that tag line for eons. It was $99. though.

Perhaps if they said "How does Maaco do all this for as little as $249? Simple. We paint more cars than anybody so we purchase our supplies in bulk so that we can pass the savings on to you."
Would that irritate you less?

I see worse almost every day...whenever an english label is translated into french...often with hilarious results.

One that I saw still amazes me when I see it...and I'm more amazed that it hasn't been caught yet.

English: Snow-pusher (an add-on to your pickup if you want to clear snow - shovel)
French: Vendeur de drogue de neige - Bablefish correctness at its worst.
* drug pusher of snow

Sometimes, marketing guys get it really right...This one's HILARIOUS
