The Muslim Call to Prayer

we should respect other cultures I do say that but it would be a bit much to have to hear that. If they did it once a week like a church I wouldnt complain. As I said keep it all equal and respected.No one religion should have more power or recognition than another
 
The Local Government--err--City Council bowed to the Muslims on this, changing their noise law to accommodate them:


"The Hamtramck City Council has been asked by the Muslim community to change the local noise ordinance and permit mosques to publicly play its call to prayer.

"There's no way that you'll ever be able to please every ... member of your constituency ... and I have no problem voting with my conscience on this," said City Council President Karen Majewski."

and

"Some residents are opposed to the call to prayer, saying it gives state sponsorship of a religion and it lifts Islam above all other religions in Hamtramck, Local 4 reported."

try this one instead...respect is a two way street. You go first.

What I'm saying is, there is culture where I live. When I traveled overseas, I learned thier culture. When they come here, learn ours. If not :finger:

However, I'm not going to go out of my way to respect some foreign nonsense that has zero affect on my life.
