It was a 'real' song too, BTW...I'm old enough to remember it before the muppet show, but not old enough to remember who actually sang it...Now, of course, I can't get that song out of my mind. Fuck you very much, unc... :D

It was
Dusty Springfield's Windmills Of Your Mind

Found it by Sting, Dusty Springfield and some others.

d/l at 43K/s!!! That's fast for my puter :D

Shit, unc, thank you so much for printing the words to that song. I've just listened to the Sting and Dusty versions - it's gorgeous. So, so, nice. Both of the versions, actually. I was surprised at how well Sting sang it.
I swear I've heard it somewhere before but I've never really heard it, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, thanks. That's what I'll be playing for the next week, non-stop and annoying my parents. :D

Well damn. I'm old enough to remember the Muppet Show and know of Dusty and Johnny. Buuuut... I never realize that it was a lifted real tune. *runs to Kaaza*

It was different. The muppet show tune was a fast chanting melody of madness. The real tune is a soft and moody club jazz lamentation.

It's a good chill-out track, at the risk of sounding local-radio-jock-ish.

I just went out and bought the new Supergrass Album and the Aqualung album. I'm half way through Supergrass and it fucking :headbang: 's

5pm over there? Day is almost done for ya. *sigh* I almost missed it all, myself. I fear Im going to have to push back away from this desk and do a few of lifes little tasks.

reset my watch to the first of the month. It has a perpetual 31 day calendar that has to be hand adjusted on the odd months. Spin a little laundry. Mow the yard. Weve had sunshine for three days now following a perpetual 10 day rain from a tropical storm. The grass has gone positively soccer riot. Its the first of the month. Time to pay some bills. I probably should do the dishes and scrub a few loo's whilst im innit, eh?

Scrubbing loos...mmm. Well, I'm sitting at my desk, staring at my folder with all my book notes, waiting for inspiration to rear it's pretty head. But that's what I do everyday, :D

A load of random, jumbled, brain-spew.

It's like my prefrontal lobe fell out onto the paper. It's all a mix of little plot-notes and character-notes and theme-notes and universe-notes...all of which only make sense to me.
It's hell, I tell you, hell.
:D

lawn is done... and im forgetting the side projects out there. I keep forgetting that early October= red wasp swarms. Ive been stung twice this year already and I have little intent on getting nailed a third time. There were a few 100 all over the mailbox and the kudzu and junipers.. Everytime I drew close I was dive bomb assaulted. 2 cans of wasp kill and 50 dead wasps later... I have a mowed, albiet sloppily, yard.

Next time I get sent to the Atlanta area, I'll try to get you a can of the 'good stuff'. Spray, go inside, and watch the little insects as they die. They look drunk when they're in the initial stages, too, so it's pretty funny in a warped kind of way.

I found out about that when I used a bit on a rather large roach when I was in the Barracks. You ever see an insect trip and fall?

Oops, excuse me folks, I must have turned left instead of right at that intersection - it would appear I am at the local Asylum.

:D ;)
