Anyone ever think about the interconnectedness of the universe? And the nature of the mind or 'consciousness' that humans possess.
I'm reading The Tao of Physics at the moment. Which basically draws parallels between Eastern mysticism/spirituality with the new ideas developing in physics. And the result is a continuing speculation on the connected nature of our world.
Fritjof Capra says:
'...the new theory asserts that cognition is identical with the process of life at all levels of systems. According to this theory, known as the Santiago theory of cognition, mind is not a thing but a process. Mind is the process of cognition, which is none other than the process of life, and consciousness is an elaborate form of this process.'
I'm afraid I've only this to add to the discussion:
Must we reason
About all things?
Can not we exist
Merely for exists’ sake?
Fate is a temptress
For she would fail to exist
Were it not for Faith
Faith is a gamble
For we are nothing without it
With it we are damned
Damned is a promise
For we have all sinned
With and without reason
Reason makes us believe
In Fate
In Faith
In Damnation
In Ourselves
Well, when you wake up, call your buddies, and they start telling you how they can't believe you climbed the water tower, and pissed off the side, that might be too much.
