Vigilantism - what would you do?

Okay - so, what would you do if you knew the vigilante in question?

Police are looking for a suspect after some vigilante justice in a park in Ville Emard earlier this month. A 48-year old man sitting on a park bench dropped his pants and was trying to convince some kids to approach him. They alerted a passerby who confronted the man, kicked him several times in the face and then just before fleeing, told the kids to call police. Patrol officers found the man bleeding profusely from the head. He required a hospital stay. And even as police hunt his attacker, he has been charged with indecent exposure and breaching his release conditions on a previous kiddy porn charge.

Well that isn't even a case of vigilantism so the question is moot.

vig·i·lan·te Listen to the pronunciation of vigilante
Pronunciation:
\ˌvi-jə-ˈlan-tē\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
Spanish, watchman, guard, from vigilante vigilant, from Latin vigilant-, vigilans
Date:
1856

: a member of a volunteer committee organized to suppress and punish crime summarily (as when the processes of law are viewed as inadequate) ; broadly : a self-appointed doer of justice

He just stumbled upon someone who pissed him off. :toast:

Here's the flip side of the coin. The Judge in the case of MrMolester might let him off with only a slap on the wrist because of 'what he's already suffered through'

MrMollester got himself a few broken facial bones and almost lost an eye.

I would rather that he'd gone to jail and let the 'guests' there deal with him.

I'd rather he get what he got than lay in jail on my dime.

Personally, if i knew who did this to mr. pervert and he got ratted out I'd pitch in on his lawyer fees

Sounds to me line Mr. Judge might be in dire need of a good dose of 'what he's already suffered through' as well.

But as Water stated, I'd totally rather not pay for his stay in club well fed. If he wants to put this guy back out on the streets while everyone still has his name and face fresh in their memories ... I've got no problem with that.
